Welcome to the web pages of the iFLINK project!

iFLINK is a research project with the aim to develop a cost-effective and open “Internet of Things” infrastructure to handle local environmental data from low-cost monitoring sensors.

The use of a large amount of low-cost monitoring sensors to supplement data from the official monitoring stations will provide more detailed real time information about air quality than we have today. The project will have pilot studies in five Norwegian municipalities: Bergen, Bærum, Drammen, Kristiansand and Oslo.

The project receives funding from the Norwegian Research Council (NFR) through the Programme for Research and Innovation in the Municipal Sector (FORKOMMUNE).
